Q.

#AskTheExpert it's been advised not to use feeding bottles for new born, cause they start rejecting breast feed...and also the bottle nipple affects their oral skills .. is it advisable to feed from spoon? from when can bottles be started?

A. yes feed with spoon. use of feeder bottle might interfere with breast feeding. pacifiers are believed to create “nipple confusion” — that is, they’re believed to interfere with breastfeeding.

A. doctors usually recommend not to use bottles but it is your personal choice to use feeding bottles or not. if you are not interested to use feeding bottles you can use dropper to feed the baby or use spoon very carefully while feeding because it can cause chokking to the baby while feeding.
