#AskTheExpert is vit d3 required for 2.5 month old? I have 200 IU /drop bottle can u please tell me the dosage and for long to be given?

A. Hello, your baby boy is 2 months old and if you have a vitamin d3 drops with strength of 200 iu per ml then give him 2 ml daily once

A. yes obviously it s must Baby should be given vit d 3 drops D3 Must or D Sol or Vitanova D 3 800 IU 0.5ml or if 400 IU 1ml daily dose till 1 year from birth

A. Hello ma’am It is recommended to give vitamin D 3 to the child for initial six months and after that if your paediatrician asks you you can stop it but it is mostly recommended because I have seen in most of the cases doctors to prescribe vitamin D drops I do have given it for initial six months so I would just advise you to continue with whatever your doctor has prescribed to you and the dosage is going to be five drops twice a day
