Q.

#asktheexpert Is using diapers for a new born advised? My in laws and relatives have been suggesting to use langot only for 3 months at least, though i am taking all the precautions for my baby while using diapers.

A. you are following a very good practice of applying coconut oil before making the child wear the diaper.

A. Thank you doctor, yes i am making sure to change the diapers in every 2 hours or else post each feed, drying the area completely and putting coconut oil frequently to avoid rashes, also using mamy poko pants and huggies for that purpose :)

A. there is no problem in making the child wear diaper throughout the day also but it should be of good quality and good absorbent capacity and should be changed regularly before it can cause perianal rash
