Q.

#asktheexpert Is there a covid 19 vaccine for infants? My daughter is 10 months old and we are following the regular vaccination schedule as per the age. Kindly let me know whether the infants could resist the covid 19 in case there is no vaccination. what could be the symptoms in an infant is covid positive? Kindly insist in vaccinating infants too.

A. hi no, there isn't. usually the symptoms are milder than we adults have, like: cold cough fever irritability low appetite breathing difficulty etc but it is not necessary all time to have these ,so please don't get panic. please keep breastfeeding your child as per his or her needs,it contains antibodies which help your child to fight against viral or bacterial infection. dress your child in weather appropriate clothes. provide apt sun light at least 20 minutes a day maintain good hygiene
