it is safe and best option to consult your pediatrician for this.
Author of questionGuardian of a 4 yr 8 m old girl4 years agoA. Thank you for your answer. I’m unable to produce enough breast milk for my child due to a lot of stress during my pregnancy. My child was diagnosed with a rare congenital issue of the brain. She’s mostly formula fed. The doctor advised us to begin with Enfamil A+ when she was a month old as she wasn’t gaining weight even after being on my breast all day long. It did not go well with her due to reflux. So the pead asked us to change it to Similac. Ever since we changed the formula, her gut is okay but she’s loosing out on essentials components such as ARA and high level of DHA that’s there in Enfamil that will immensely help in her brain development. Hence my question!

no
as mother's milk is best food for a child, please stick to breastfeeding.
there is no need of formula or external milk.
but if it is not possible then you can opt for formula only after consulting with your pediatrician.
