ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist7 years agoA. yes. restrict to one cup per day. . have all fruits, veggies in your diet. home cooked fresh indian food with indian spices is perfect for breastfeeding mother. . you can have all the fruits , nothing to worry about. infact mild variety of flavors that baby gets in breast milk , helps in easy acceptance of baby foods in future most important of all maintain good hydration. drink lots of fluids to avoid constipation in this period. continue taking calcium supplements.

If your breastfeeding you should avoid having chocolate, spices, citrus fruits, Avoid fishes in high mercury content, avoid tea coffee, eggs, wheat, cauliflower, cabbage, proceeded foods, mangoes, prunes, corn, Broccoli.. All these are gassy foods to baby. If you still wish to have have in limited quantities and have warm water post that. Waking is a good way to shed some weight. 20 mins of walk can help you alot. Try to do yoga like suryanamaskar, pranayma these are highly beneficial. Also follow good diet. For breakfast have fruits. Oats, ragi, kellogs for lunch have millets instead of rice. Or Have less rice and more veggies. For dinner have roti, fruits. Mainly try to Avoid white foods like white rice white bread maida.. Have a balanced and healthy diet.
