Q.

#asktheexpert is gagging normal in infants .can it lead to complications.by gagging I mean to say at times my baby sleeps during feeding and due to over flow of milk in mouth baby coughs.my baby is 3 months old

A. yes it is common because the child is learning to swallow. it is very important that whenever you experience such a situation you should stop feeding immediately and keep the child in upright position and give a burping
