#asktheexpert I’m not able ko give him milk because he suffers from diarrhoea whenever we give him milk..n at frequent intervals he suffers from stomach infection..as he was pre mature

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 22 months old and if he is getting diarrhoea after taking milk then he is likely to have a lactose intolerance and he should be given lactose free formula milk like zerolac

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. Lactose intolerance occurs when the small intestine does not make enough of the enzyme lactase. A child who is lactose intolerant can't digest lactose. This is a type of sugar found in milk and other dairy products. The condition can cause bloating and diarrhea.
