#AskTheExpert I'm 34 weeks pregnant . my baby is having cord around the neck . Is there any chance of recovery ?

A. can at times. you can show the baby to a pediatric doctor who will check and find the right diagnosis and treat wellsee only the doctor who can see you in person can judge what is the right status. best to trust her

A. An umbilical cord that is wrapped around a baby's neck in utero is called a nuchal cord, and usually is harmless. An umbilical cord is a lifeline for a baby in the womb. Running from the baby's abdomen to the placenta, the umbilical cord usually contains three blood vessels and is about 21” long.
