#asktheexpert I I have delivered a baby girl on March and now she’s 4 month old but i didn’t get my periods why

A. Whenever you are exclusively breast-feeding your baby there will be increased hormone levels especially the hormone prolactin which will hinder the periods. But you cannot depend on this hormone and that’s why you have to keep using contraception to avoid accidental pregnancy until you get them.
