Q.

#asktheexpert I am Manu priyanka my son is 9 months old I gave him cow milk around 6 months age he got motions and vomiting...once I gave him little bit of cerelac also he was sick....if he is lactose intolerant can I try giving milk again after 1 year of age...what I have to do please suggest me doctor.

A. Usually cutting out lactose containing milk and dairy products from the diet for 8 weeks will give the gut time to heal. The ability of the gut to produce lactase will build up again and after 8 weeks, the child should be able to drink milk/ formula and eat regular dairy products.
