#AskTheExpert i am having stinging pain in one of my breast during the breastfeeding and after too. i have also pain when baby sucks the nipple. please tell me the solution for this problem. My baby is 1 month old.and he is also taking the formula milk. because i dont have sufficient milk to feed my baby.

ExpertDr.Deepinder Kaur DhawanObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. giving formula at this time can reduce your breast supply..give only breastmilk to the child.. apply breast milk over nipple before feeding sessions and make sure baby has latched properly means areola should be in baby's mouth...and use nipcare ointment after feeding sessions

Hello ma’am Maybe you are having cracked nipples or something so apply Boroline but if the pain is somewhere within the nipple or within the breast and it would be better that you consult your gynaecologist once for a proper check up as without proper check up you are actually cannot figure out what is the reason behind it
