#asktheexpert I am having asymmetric IUGR baby boy his birth weight was 2.380 kg and current weight is 6.0 kg he is 6 months old.. is weight gain is okay or do I need to concern.. and can IUGR baby looks like a normal babies in future ?

A. The baby is showing good progress in his weight gain. IUGR babies will usually try to catch up within three to six months after birth and mostly become like a normal baby around 2 years of age. If you have any specific concerns, you can get ur child examined by ur doctor directly.
