Q.

#asktheexpert I am giving iron syrup to my baby she is doing hard black potty as well today I feel like a blood spot. Is it serious??

A. hard dark stool , constipation can be due to iron supplement, and blood in stool might be because of anal tear during passing of hard stool ,hold give iron drops fir few days, offer lots of fluids

A. Iron pills can make your child's stool greenish or grayish black. This is normal. Liquid forms of iron can stain teeth. Wipe your child's teeth with a washcloth after to prevent permanent staining.
