Q.

#AskTheExpert i am a mother of a premature baby. she can not latch on breast properly. I am spoon feeding her. but she wants to breastfeed. should I use nipple shield?? does it help in latching???

A. yes can use there is no problem in using nipple shield while giving breastfeeding. it is important to maintain hygiene of the nipple shield with proper cleaning as well as sterilization. if the mother and the child is comfortable and the growth of the child is proper then you can continue to use it
