Q.

#AskTheExpert i am a mother of a 3 week old baby girl. i have inverted nipple and was feeding her with the help of nipple shield on initial days...but milk supply was less and started pumping milk and fed her through bottle....pumping milk every 2 hrs and feeding her according to her demand..but not clear on how much to feed...and how long can we preserve the milk in room temperature.. she was initially on formula milk along with pumped milk..now reduced the amt of formula.. how much to feed at this.age and how to dicontinue formula.. and.is there an alternative for pumping...she is finding it difficultbto latch on to nipple shield now... does nipple shield reduces milk suppl? also now the formula is fed only once a day..when she is too cranky..is that required ?

A. you can pull up nipples ok. and start latching. a lot of brands will be trying to impress you but you try to see your need and cost. thats better always.
