#asktheexpert i am a feeding mother to a 3 month old child and I still feel immense pain while feeding..my nipples hurts so much..I tried using nipple shield n it has helped me feed d baby a lot but my question is why do i feel d pain still?

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician4 years agoA. Rinse the breast after each feeding with water to reduce the risk of infection. Apply a cold pack to numb the injured area before nursing. Cold can help dull the pain. if pain persist contact your gynecologist

While being a breastfeeding mother the breast pain is very common and this get normal by its own once you will stop breastfeeding your baby. You can continue using nipple shield to protect the nipples Happy parenting Stay home stay safe
