Q.

#AskTheExpert I am a covid positive mom of 11 months old baby. Dr has assured me that baby won't get affected from it but she is having runny nose. Dr told me no need to get her tested and to start zinc and vit c. I am breastfeeding her twice in a day. what shd I do?

A. Hi, your treating doctor is right.. start with vital c and zinc syrup to your baby.. also you can continue with breast feeding.. it’s still important to make sure you wash your hands often, avoid coughing or sneezing near your baby for your baby.. stick to the good home remedies like steaming, applying and massaging heated mustard oil to your baby's chest and back, increased breastfeeding, plenty of rest/sleep, and using nasal saline drops.

A. Hello mom Whenever you are taking your baby or you are around your baby you have to wear the mask. If you will do this then baby will be safe. This is the main precaution you have to take. And try to sanitise your hands regularly. Children are not getting Covid positive easily but is still you should take some precautions. Happy parenting Stay home stay safe
