#AskTheExpert how to treat mild cough of 4 months old baby boy. he coughs 3-4 times every 2--3 hours.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough in a child could be allergic , infective or due to some other cause like GERD so it needs proper evaluation before giving any medication .
as a first line of treatment,you can give steam inhalation to the child for the improvement before consulting your doctor.
any me remedies are of limited help in this. if it is infection, mild or severe,it requires proper treatment under medical guidance.self medication is not advised.
