Q.

#asktheexpert how to know it's diarrhoea? I mean my bub usually has runny stools so how to distinguish.

A. if you are giving only breastfeeding then there is a possibility that slightly loose to semi solid stool may be present intermittently. if you see that it is totally watery and also you are giving outside milk then it is advisable to get the child examined by the doctor to rule out any digestion problem or any infection. need of probiotics (sachet superflora gg once a day can be given) and zinc has tco be evaluated. in the meantime kindly continue breastfeeding to prevent dehydration. you can give ors also if water loss is more if there is blood in the stool then kindly meet the doctor immediately because it can be dysentery also.

A. For initial 60 days you can see that I can have a lot of running motion which is very common more of water but after the age of two months also the motion is little better it’s little bind but if your child is in four months old and if your child is having constantly lose motions full of water and then in that and if it is having more in Number or less less quantity or more than quantity less small of time then that’s definitely lose motion
