you should start with liquids only like dal ka Pani or rice water..
slowly switch to semi solid mashed meals as khichdi dalia oats etc
Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Actually u should avoid giving salt and sugar until the baby is one year old. Babies get sugar and salt from all the solid food items , breastmilk or formula they intake. They don't need any additional salt or sugar to be added, extra sugar or salt will not do any good for the baby. Baby will not realise the taste until it is introduced and won't find it blunt as like adults. So baby will accept the blunt taste without salt and sugar until we introduce it. No need to enhance the flavor. Also the baby will experience the natural flavors of the veggies and other foods and are more likely to turn into good eaters.
