#asktheexpert how do I know if milk is flowing when baby is sucking, sometimes I see little amount of milk in her mouth post breastfeed most of the time I don't even though she is latching , and also is there any medicines which I can take for increasing breastmilk? please advice

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. Shatavari might be beneficial in improving breast milk production. This is due to its galactagogue activity. It might be due to the presence of steroidal saponins present in the plant. It also helps to increase the level of prolactin hormone thus, helps to improve breast milk supply
