#asktheexpert how could we identify if the breastmilk is sufficient for the baby , she is 2 months old now. there could be chances that she could suck for soothing as well. please suggest

A. thank you Sandhya .. her urine count is quite good but she has only gained 500 gms in 45 days that is what makes me feel worried . anything that I could do for wait gain without adding formula milk

A. Hi, check the urine count. Baby should pass urine 6 to 8 times in a day. If the urine count is normal that means baby is getting enough feed. If the urine count goes less than six time in a day then that means baby is not getting enough feed. Make sure to breast feed once in every two hours for about 20 minutes that is 10 minutes on the left breast and 10 minutes on the right breast and burp your baby well after every feed.Write Your Answer Here
