Q.

#asktheexpert hlo Dr. my baby is going to be 19 months old soon,since last month he starts shouting, nowadays he is shouting at every thing. he don't listen anything from anyone only starts screaming, initially i thought it would be due to teething but now he is going more and more aggressive and stubborn, he even don't listen when I try to pacify him he just starts beating us..

A. Hi consult with your pediatrician for regular health checkup of your child.. usually during the teething phase kids feel irritated and show crancky behaviour.. give your kid chilled silicone based teething rings to chew on

A. It is developmentally normal for toddlers to hit. It is the parent's job to supervise and handle toddlers kindly and firmly until they are ready to learn more effective ways to communicate. Kids will grow out of it if they get help (skills training) instead of a model of violence (hitting back).
