#AskTheExpert hiii my 3 month old daughter having blocked nose. have been taking medicines and saline drop too but her blockage is still there. how to overcome it. any precautions to take for this plZz guide

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can jube given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

Indirect steam in halation can be given to the child and along with that you can also go ahead with nebulising the child that is going to help in opening of the nose blockage as well for the child and if you require anything then you can also take an advice on the doctors you need to do anything for that I had of thisWrite Your Answer Here
