#asktheexpert hi What is lactose intolerance and what kind of precautions needs to Be follow.

A. Hello, your baby boy is 4 months old and if he is having a lactose intolerance then he can’t digest lactose sugar from any milk and cause loose motions so you should not give him any type of milk and dairy products,And there are special milk formulas without lactose sugar that is to be used upto 5/6 months and then again stools is examined

A. whenever loose motions are prolonged there will be loss of intestinal villi I responsible for lactase enzyme for a few days sugar late lactose sucrose will not be digested we have to stop feeding the baby temporally
