#AskTheExpert Hi Sir. my daughter is 2yr 2m now, she is not talking. small words she can, like Mummy, daddy. same age my brother daughter.she is speaking fluently. Is there any reason, or have to consult doctor on this. plz suggest

Samidha MathurMom of 2 children4 years agoA. fluency should come by the age of 3 years. however keep practicing with your child and keep showing the different kind of object and the nearby location to your child so that you can discuss about the same thing and allow her to talk more. now a days delay in speech usually occurs due to the over exposure of mobile usage. this increases the monologue instead of dialogues. therefore do not be worried at this stage however if you see that in next one year the baby doesn't seem to be improved then consult any developmental pediatrician.
