Q.

#asktheexpert Hi Sir, my baby got high fever. My babies CRP test showed 62 value. Will it decrease with antibiotics? Is it something serious. Please guide us

A. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children. But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also beh ruled out . Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic agdcid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful . Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

A. Yes You can actually be reduced with antibiotics only when it this level is it mostly is due to some kind of infection and have proper antibiotics only and infection can be in control so I think you are you should just continue with the treatment suggested by you
