A. Bowlegs in babies, also known as "genu varum," is a common condition in infants, especially during the first year of life. It usually occurs because of the way babies are positioned in the womb and their natural growth process. At seven months, it's still quite normal for babies to have a slight bowing of the legs. Most babies' legs straighten out on their own as they begin to stand and walk, which usually happens by 18 months. However, if the bowing persists beyond this age or seems to worsen, it is advisable to consult a pediatrician to rule out any underlying issues such as vitamin D deficiency or other bone-related conditions. Your pediatrician will guide you on any necessary treatments or interventions.
