#asktheexpert Hi my son is not gaining enough weight on exclusive breastfeed . Can I switch to formula to see any change??

A. Hello mom yes you can try to do that though monthly weight gain is expected to almost be in the range of 300 gm to 1 kg and by age of 4 to 6 months they double their birth weight,

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Baby weight depends on birth weight and normally doubles by the age of six months and triples by the age of one year. Please do not feed anything other than mother’s milk till the baby turns six months. Thanks and take care
