#AskTheExpert hi my son is 1yr 3month old, recently he has stopped responding to his name, if we play or sing his music or rhyme he wil respond but if we keep calling his name he won't. also he used to play with his elder brother now he wants to play alone. if we ask him to come he wil run n come smiling while babbling he does eye contact he play peek a boo too he will mimic us like kick ball or throw ball or try to color n stuff. shud I b worried or is this a phase pls.help

A. So are you calling you child only with one name or you are calling with different name sometimes it confuses the child what is your calling only with one name and still your child is not responding but turning to you when you call the child and hugging you and responding little bit and making eye contact and I don’t think so it’s a problem but there is definitely some delay in the growth of the child and that could be due to deficiency of iron also to be on the safer side I would recommend you to have a proper assessment with a child psychologist one time and if there is nothing then that’s going to be the best the Dr is going to tell you how do I need to deal with the behaviour and what would be the reason behind it
