Q.

#AskTheExpert hi my son is 11weeks old.he had vomiting 2 wks back doctor gave him ondansetron after which he started passing stool with mucus. he's not showing any improvement with antibiotics, can ondansetron be the reason for his mucusy stool. thank you

A. no it is not related to the vomiting medicine you are giving because that is the most common vomiting medicine that is given to the child so it is not related to the mucus and the child might be suffering from gastroenteritis which is causing the problem

A. hi please inform your treating doctor regarding this. please breastfeed your child as per his or her needs as you are nursing mother, eat easy to digest food. maintain good hygiene
