#AskTheExpert Hi, my new born is sleeping to much so I can't feed her properly, is this ok

A. babies sleep for long hours. make sure to wake him every 3-4 hrs to feed.

A. okay no problem 20 hours per day sleep in the baby is common there is lot of individual variation in the sleeping pattern of small babies before coming to your particular sleeping pattern if baby is otherwise active do not worry about the sleep cycle in the bab

A. Newborn kids mostly sleep for a very long division they will make up when they are hungry so don’t worry about it still if you are so much concern I would say that you can go ahead with feeding your child every four hours even if the child is sleeping try to wake up your child and feed but otherwise whenever the child is hungry they normally wake up on their own to take a feed
