#AskTheExpert hi , my child isn't drinking milk very well since last night..would only take my feed for 5-7 min and then sleep for a short time. even while feeding she seems to be in discomfort despite being hungry

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. she might having gases problem or pain. Feed in upright position. Allow her a good latch. Burping after every feeding, will help her ease the gas. swaddle your baby.. may give Neopeptin drops in case of crying

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 4 m old girl3 years agoA. hi it happens because of gas or indigestion. so ,give small and frequent feeds but do not over feed your child. while feeding,make sure your child latches properly I mean,the whole aoreola part of your breast should be covered well by your child mouth. keep your child head slightly elevated while feeding. burp your baby in between and after each feeding give soothing massage before sleep time but make sure your child stomach should be empty at that time.
