#AskTheExpert Hi My baby is pooping in black colour since 3/4 days. sometimes hard sometimes loose. also farting a lot with bad smell sometimes. pooping daily but then also it stinks so much. what's the reason? having normal meals

ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. is he on iron syrup.ask doctor.Best will be to consult a doctor there as well who can practically see the patient and help to get a diagnosisSee try to consult to a good pediatrician there who will do a full check up and tell the diagnosis

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 10 m old boy4 years agoA. Black poop can be caused by black foods, including licorice, oreo cookies or grape juice. Some medicines can cause black poop, including iron and Pepto-Bismol. Black stool can also be caused by bleeding in the stomach or upper intestine, in which case your child should see a doctor.
