#AskTheExpert Hi, My baby is 8 months old. She is facing loose motion since 2 days. She was having fever as well which now got in control. Can i give prolyte ors to her to keep her hydrate.

A. yes can be given. loose watery stools is considered normal in babies. Some amount of foam is due to gas along with poop u check  for any foul smell or any change in color and consistency of poop. If only loose stool u can give zinc drops Z and D drops 1ml once a day and satchets of Econorm/ enterogermina/syp darolac or any other probiotics for 3  days. Give ORS  Fever with pain in abdomen if present can b due to infection n needs a doctor consult soon
