#asktheexpert Hi, My baby is 6 weeks old. She struggle (cries) to pee in the morning, rest of the day it will be smooth. Note : She doesn't pee in the night (12am to 7am )

A. straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months of age. sometimes this can continue fsor one year of age also. it usually occurs due to the distention of the urinary bladder and rectum of the child. the sensation is new for the child that's why the child is crying if you sfeel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pediatrician for examination.
