Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Do u mean not even a single word? If so u may have to get the child examined and get a hearing test done and consult a speech therapist as well. But if he is only slow,
Every child is different and there could be early and late speakers. So u need not worry. The only key is to keep communicating with ur baby regularly. Question him and urge him to answer. Talk to him about everything that u see around. Tell more stories. A continuous verbal conversation with ur baby will improve his vocabulary and encourage him to speak more. Limited screen time can also help to improve kid's vocabulary. Even after trying all these there is no improvement then u may consult a speech therapist.
