#asktheexpert hi, my baby is 2 weeks old and sleeps around 3-4 hrs between feeds. is this normal and healthy or should I be worried. also he takes around 1-2hrs for completing each feed. I am worried if my milk is being sufficient or not.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. If baby is passing urine 8-10 times in a day then the baby is getting enough breast milk. Please make sure that the baby is in a correct position to latch to the breast properly. Please massage your breast gently before feeding the baby. Please check for any oral thrush in the Baby and clean it if it is there. Also, also check for any nasal blockage in the baby, which might be preventing the baby to suck the milk.
