A. It's generally recommended to follow the vaccination schedule as closely as possible to ensure timely protection for your baby. However, delaying the vaccines by a week is usually not a major concern, especially if it's due to unavoidable circumstances. The vaccines can still be administered effectively even if they are slightly delayed. What You Should Do: 1. Reschedule as soon as possible: When you're back, arrange the vaccination as soon as you can, even if it's a week later. 2. Consult your Pediatrician: It's always a good idea to inform your doctor about the delay, just to ensure they are aware and can adjust future doses if necessary. 3. No Need to Worry: A short delay like this won’t compromise the effectiveness of the vaccines. However, avoid further delays and follow up as soon as you return to get your baby back on schedule. In the meantime, continue monitoring your baby’s health and well-being. If you have any concerns about his health before getting the vaccines, you can always contact your pediatrician for advice.
