Q.

#asktheexpert Hi my baby girl is 6week old and she is not sleeping much. When we place her on bed or cradle she is not sleeping well. She is sleeping only when we try to put her on sleep by placing her on our body. Also how many times should we feed her. She is breast feed baby.

A. you have to give demand feeding that is whenever the child feels hungry you have to give breastfeeding to the child SLEEP TRICKS For making the child sleep you can do the following things You can swaddle the child to make the child comfortable You can sing a song / lullaby You can use a cradle or swing You can get a a car ride for the child Keeping the child on your shoulder you can walk briskly You can keep the child in between both the legs and gently swing the legs both sides

A. Newborn babies should breastfeed 8–12 times per day for about the first month. Breast milk is easily digested, so newborns are hungry often. Frequent feedings helps stimulate your milk production during the first few weeks. By the time your baby is 1–2 months old, he or she probably will nurse 7–9 times a day.
