#AskTheExpert hi my 11 months old had fever(100-102F) for 3 days without any other symptoms I gave him paracetamol oral drops every 6hrs it's 5th day today shall I continue giving him paracetamol every 6hr or stop it ? thanks

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicinhye can also be tried if requirred like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
