Q.

#asktheexpert Hi Madam, My girl baby is 3 months old. Her weight is 5kgs. since birth, she drinks very less milk. she falls asleep after drinking small amount of milk. At max she drinks 60ml per feed and around 8 feeds per day. if we made her forcefully drink, she vomits, resists and cries. Altogether she drinks 300 to 400ml milk per day. I feel this milk quantity is very less and am worried about her growth. visited doctor for the same, He suggested cypon drops for 3 days twice a day. after using that also didnt see much change. kindly suggest how to increase her milk intake. Thanks.

A. Hi Having low appetite in kids is the problem of every mom. please do not worry about this. continue to feed your baby on demand. Do not overfeed your baby as this might cause some stomach issues. Cypon drops are suggested as they can increase the appetite levels and reduces the chance of vomiting in kids.

A. As your infant grows, feeding will change. Babies will start drinking more milk during each feeding, so they won't need to feed as often and will sleep longer at night. Your baby's appetite will increase during growth spurts. Continue to feed on demand and increase the number of feedings as needed. Your infant also will become more alert as the weeks go by, cooing and smiling. So there probably will be more interaction between you and your baby during feedings.
