#AskTheExpert hi maam my baby is coughing from one and half month but 8 times a day but I showed to pediatrician after checking he said that there is no infection in lungs but if baby is coughing more he said me to give cough drops i did like that and 20 days back I uused amoxy clav drops on another pediatrician advice but my baby is still coughing

A. avoid cold climate, cold winds. give plenty of feeds , adequate rest to the baby. indirect steam , hot water bath will also help. consult your paediatrician if baby is feeding less, excessively drowsy or if cold increases. post illness babies might be cranky , irritable. nose block congestion also result in loss of appetite, difficult sucking. try different head up feeding position. feed by spoon otherwise. Maintain hygiene. if bottle feeding, maintain sterility as its a common source of infections.
