A. At 4 months old, the amount of formula milk your baby needs can vary depending on their individual growth, appetite, and feeding patterns. However, as a general guideline, most 4-month-old babies consume around 4 to 6 ounces (120 to 180 milliliters) of formula per feeding. It's essential to feed your baby on demand and to observe their hunger cues, such as rooting, sucking on fists, or showing signs of agitation or restlessness. Offer the bottle when your baby shows signs of hunger, and allow them to drink until they indicate they are full, such as turning their head away from the bottle or slowing down their sucking. It's also important to follow your baby's growth and weight gain as a guide. If your baby is gaining weight appropriately and seems satisfied between feedings, they are likely getting enough formula milk. However, if you have concerns about your baby's feeding habits, growth, or overall health, it's best to consult with your pediatrician for personalized guidance and recommendations. They can assess your baby's individual needs and provide tailored advice based on their health and development.
