#AskTheExpert hi, I'm 35 years old and 14 weeks pregnant. double marker test is positive, it shows Edward syndrome increases, at a risk ratio of 1.63. however my NT scan is normal. I extremely stressed. plz suggest what should I do.

A. The ratio is high and to know if the child is having that or not is by doing an amniocentesis and they will send this for karyotyping and find outWrite Your Answer Here

A. yes. do NIPT. you have to do a few more tests and a scan after a local doctor advice for proper treatmentIn such cases you can talk to a doctor and get some blood tests done to reach to a conclusion
