#AskTheExpert Hi, i am Jheel. I am 33 weeks pregnant. The umbilical cord is tied around the baby's neck, but Dr. says it is lose.. I am worried if it is going to cause harm to the baby.

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist2 years agoA. If the umbilical cord is loosely hanging, then there is no need to worry because almost 40% of all pregnancies will have the same issue. Kindly follow whatever your doctor advises
