outside food / weaning / complementary is started after 6 months of ahe of the child.
in complementary feeding start with two rules
rule number 1 is that you have to give the food in the form which the child can swallow
rule number 2 is that always give a new food for for 5 to 6 days to see whether the child is able to digest that food or not as well as it will help in creating the taste in the child.
you can gradually start all types of food made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits. you have to start initially with less amount and gradually you can increase the amount .
advisable to go for homemade food compared to outside food.

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. It is not advisable to give anything to the baby other than mother’s milk till the age of six months. After six months Please give semi solid food items like banana and mashed potatoes and mashed apples to the baby. You can give homemade cerelac and vegetables puree to the baby. Also give suji kheer and daal paani to the baby. Start giving formula milk to the baby. You can also give mashed idli to the baby.
