#asktheexpert Hi good morning Dr. my baby girl is 4 month old ..I have c sec . I have noticed that sometimes she shaking her foot just for few seconds any time but it stop when I touch it...what would be the reason of it? plz help

A. shivering in newborn can be due to startle reflex and less likely due to calcium deficiency. kindly continue to give breastfeeding to the child and take a video of the shivering and meet ygour doctor who will tell you whether it is normal startle reflex or it is due to hypocalcemia.

A. Dont worry its normal. My girl used to do the same & i also used to get very concern about it. But nothing to worry its normal. The shaking will stop once she will start crawling or walking or may be before that.

A. hi it's common for 4 months old it can be result of reflexes, muscle development or excitement and stimulation too so as such no need to worry but if there is other symptoms associated with it like frequency is much, fever, change in feeding pattern, sleep pattern, difficulty in sleep etc please visit your pediatrician
