Q.

#AskTheExpert Hi Dr. My son is 3.6 years old but doesn't speak fluently. He only says one word. Sometimes repeats behind me based upon his mood. We are already going through Speech and Occupational therapy for the past 3 months. Can you suggest some process to see a fast development in him. Thanks

A. to improve speech -read different books to the child -talk to the child daily routine like the child understands you with regular eye contact -singing songs and rhymes -while talking repeat what your child says with right pronunciation and do not criticize the child -avoid screen time(tv mobile lsaptop). leave permit the child to watch the activities that allow to improve his language -take your cdhild outside (open environment) and have a talk with the child regarding the things around the child -introduce new words gradually for proper understanding -speak about things child is interested in.
